Cross-route questions.
Sixteen questions about how we run. Country-specific questions live on each country page.
-
Four destinations: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal. We do not do Germany, the Netherlands, the Nordics, or anywhere outside Europe. Staying narrow is the point — we know each route end-to-end. If your destination falls outside the four, ask us and we will hand you a network partner who specialises in it.
-
Yes. N17, N15, N22 — Tottenham Green, Seven Sisters, Wood Green, Bruce Grove, Northumberland Park, Stamford Hill, West Green, South Tottenham, Tottenham Hale. Surveyors visit anywhere on the postcode set.
-
Three steps. Send us a brief — rough volume, destination, intended dates. A surveyor walks the property when it suits you. We come back with a written quote: one number covering transit, customs, insurance, and door-to-door handling. No bolt-ons.
-
We handle the chain — survey, packing, customs paperwork, transit, delivery, unpacking on request. Your part: be there when the crew loads in N17, and be there when it arrives at the destination. Everything in between is ours.
-
Goods-in-transit cover is built into every move, underwritten by an established UK marine insurer. All-risks cover for fragile, high-value, or art-grade items is flagged at survey and itemised in the quote. The certificate of insurance comes attached to the written quote.
-
Yes. Member of the British Association of Removers, Overseas Group. That covers code of conduct, formal dispute resolution, and advance-payment protection on your deposit.
-
Over a decade. The depot sits in N17. The destination network in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal has been built up over the same period.
-
Depends on the route, your volume, and the customs queue on the day. The written quote includes a likely window for your specific corridor — we do not commit to a number we would have to caveat. Country-page FAQs cover the route-specific variables.
-
Storage is available at the Tottenham depot and at all four destination depots. Charged separately, flexible duration. We would rather hold your goods safely than push a delivery the destination is not ready for.
-
Yes. EORI, ToR1 (transfer-of-residence relief), HMRC C1331, and the destination filings — French douanes, Italian dogane, Spanish aduanas, Portuguese alfândegas. You give us the inventory information at survey; we file the rest.
-
Pets are outside our scope — we recommend a specialist. Vehicles go through partner transport firms, costed separately. Pianos travel in dedicated cradles with specialist movers. Wine moves under climate-controlled conditions with the right paperwork. Each one is itemised in the quote so you can see what cover applies.
-
Often yes. If part of the move sits at a relative's in Hertfordshire or a storage unit elsewhere in North London, we add the collection point at survey. It folds into the same fixed quote.
-
We call to find a slot that works for you, and the surveyor visits your N17/N15/N22 property. The visit takes around an hour for a typical four-bedroom home. No pressure, no figure pushed at the door — the written quote follows by email.
-
Yes. International conveyancing rarely runs to plan — the partner depot at the destination holds your goods until you have access. Storage charged separately, flexible duration. We have done this on every corridor.
-
Yes. Pack-only is available where you are arranging your own transit; full-pack-and-move is the more common arrangement. Pack-only is most often booked by households whose timeline splits over several months.
-
Sign the quote and pay the deposit — that confirms the booking. The balance is due before the load leaves Tottenham. Booking sits inside our standard BAR Overseas Group terms; the cancellation, claims, and payment windows are spelled out on the quote document.
